The Oglala Sioux Tribe’s Health and Human Service Committee (HHS) serves as the governing body for Anpetu Luta Otipi. In this capacity, the HHS committee assists Anpetu Luta Otipi review and approve program policies and procedures, ensure compliance with all relevant public laws, and reviews program outcomes. The daily management of the program, including the administration of all programs and services, program components, and budget is lead the program director who must demonstrate mastery of skills, knowledge, and several years of experience in behavioral health, public health, or related fields.
Anpetu Luta Otipi maintains one administrative office in Kyle, South Dakota and provides outpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment and recovery support services within four centers across the reservation.
Outpatient treatment centers are located in Kyle, Pine Ridge Village, Wanblee, and Martin. In addition to its four centers, Anpetu Luta Otipi provides addiction recovery services to the Kiyuksa juvenile correctional facility in Kyle, and the Adult Offender Facility in Pine Ridge.
For clients requiring more intensive inpatient treatment, Anpetu Luta Otipi maintains one 7 bed residential facility in Kyle.
